Type Locality and Naming

Along the R. Renzhit, southern slope of the Bosbutau Mountains, N. Fergana.

Lithology and Thickness

In the lower part, limestone conglomerates and limestones. In the upper part - sandstones, siltstones, argillites, layers of conglomerates and limestones. Thickness 500-600m

Lower contact

It lies unconformably on the limestones of the lower Carboniferous

Fossils

In the lower part, limestones with foraminifera - Fusulinella schwagerinoides Deprat, F. ex gr. bocki Moel., Hemifusulina bocki Moel., H. aff. graciosa Lee, Kamaina aspera (Chern.), Fusulina cylindrica Fisch., Beedeina elegans (Raus. et Belja.). In the upper part - limestones with foraminifera - Fusulinella schwagerinoides Deprat, F. aff. kumpani Putrja., Fusulina cf. mjackovensis Raus., F. ex gr. Quasifusulinoides Raus. The complex of foraminifera dates the late Moscovian age - the zone of Fusulinella schwagerinoides.


Age 

It belongs to the Shunkmazar horizon of the upper Moscovian substage. In 1965 (457), F.R. Bensh considered the deposits as a conglomerate-sandstone suite of the late Moscovian age.
